The mixed beds plant is a demineralization plant that cleans the water required to feed the steam generators (feed water) from all the residue left by corrosion and traces dissolved salts. This operation provides a high efficiency for the heat transfer inside the boiler and the high degree of purity that is required for steam turbines. The demineralization is performed by ion exchange and this is achieved by passing the condensate through special resins that retain the impurities but which periodically need to be regenerated with suitable chemical treatment. The automation system being supplied will handle 3 mixed beds that will function automatically and which will guarantee the continuity of operation even when one mixed bed is unavailable while the resins are being regenerated.

ECISGROUP is currently involved in the construction, installation & start-up of auxiliary utilities for a new phosphorus doping station of silicon wafers for the production of photovoltaic cells at EniPower’s plant of Nettuno, located at around 60 km from Rome. The plant covers an area of approximately 34,000 sqm, 8,000 sqm of which include production areas, offices and laboratories, technical service areas, warehouses and training centers. The plant hosts the photovoltaic activities of EniPower: the production of cells and photovoltaic modules in crystalline silicon, marketing of the products and “turnkey” solutions. The plant is capable of producing high efficiency solar cells based on crystalline silicon and monocrystalline and multicrystalline solar modules to achieve through use of high technologies and an installed production capacity of 30 MWp / year. EniPower policy is focused on technological innovation in the field of photovoltaics with the need to install new auxiliary facilities dedicated to the new section of doping (new doper and diffusion furnace by EniPower) searching in ECISGROUP a main contractor that could follow step by step the development of the engineering process of auxiliary facilities for the new doper machine, considering the deep multidisciplinary experience of ECISGROUP. ECISGROUP is involved in all the construction activities of the auxiliary facilities, including the design and construction of all civil, mechanical and electrical-instrumentation works, as EniPower Contractor in accordance with the legal provisions on construction sites as per the Italian law D. Lgs. 81/08. The auxiliary equipment to be supplied by ECISGROUP is divided in 3 areas: AREA100: A Doping Mixture (ethanol 97.5%, 2.5% H3PO4) storage and dosing system. The Doping Mixture storage and dosing system is designed in order to feed the doper of the silica wafer with a perfectly homogenized solution and with controlled temperature. The mixture of ethanol and diluted phosphoric acid is discharged from the supply drums and loaded into a storage and intermediary homogenization tank before being transferred into the dosing tank. The doping mixture temperature is ensured by a conditioning system installed in the recirculation line upstream the doper connection. Keeping constant the doping mixture temperature is an essential requisition for the doper machine process. AREA 200: Air Treatment system (for ethanol vapor), coming from the doping section, is designed through active carbons filters and scrubber system. The emissions coming from the doping silica wafer section are conveyed to a reduction system, composed by a active carbon filters section and a scrubber water tower, equipped with single or structured filling for the intimate contact between polluted air and the absorbent solution. AREA 300: A new osmosis water plant, based on the electro-deionization (EDI system), in order to feed the doped silica wafer basins. A pumping station and the relevant piping connection (which replace the existing one), starting from the osmosis water storage tank to the EDI system. The EDI plant consists of three lines/modules able to produce a total of nominal 8.5 m3/h demineralized water, with a conductivity lown than 0.0625 µS /cm (resistivity > 16 MOhm-cm). The EDI system is also designed to allow a future expansion, which can increase up to 33% nominal capacity. The successful collaboration between ECISGROUP & EniPower will be certainly a key reference point for the future business activities related to alternative energy sources, which are growing quickly in the global market. Environmental protection, health and safety of workers, relations with local entity and with the stakeholders are the key elements of the logistics management of ECISGROUP

Description:
20/12/2010

ECISGROUP participated for the second time in the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) which took place in the United Arab Emirates from 1st to 4th November 2010. The Abu Dhabi Emirate is renowned for having 9% of the estimated world oil reserves and 5% of the world gas reserves, ranking fifth in the international classification of hydrocarbon producers and exporters. This huge wealth determines that the per-capita GDP of its 800.000 inhabitants ranks 15th in the world classification list, ahead of Italy (in the 28th position). Considering the above, together with an excellent organisation, the Exhibition had a remarkable success. More than 45,000 visitors were declared (the latest issue of the Trade Fair OMC in Ravenna had about 9,000 visitors and SAOGE in Dammam - Saudi Arabia - less than 8,000) and there were 1,502 exhibitors from 50 countries. 262 speakers gave a talk at the parallel Conference, whereas 1,050 press releases were issued. The main actors on the Oil&Gas international scene were obviously all present: the national companies (ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, Qatar Petroleum…), the technological firms (ABB, Emerson, Ansaldo, Schlumberger…), the contractors (Technip, Almansoori, Dolphin Energy, Maire Tecnimont, Lurgi, Technip…), as well as the Energy companies (BP, ExxonMobil, Total…) to name just a few. ECISGROUP has for long pursued an internationalisation strategy with an increasingly strong conviction; this strategy is aimed at creating a winning synergy between its peculiarities as EPC Contractor (a solid know-how combined with over 30 years experience) and a thorough knowledge of local entities that a commercial partner operating in the area can share. For this reason ECISGROUP was present with its own stand which was well-conceived and brilliantly located: a strategic location in a very busy place and only a few steps away from the stands of ADNOC, NPPC, Qatar Petroleum and others. More than one hundred interested companies visited our stand; in the rush hours ECISGROUP’s large team had difficulties in interacting with everybody. We welcomed visitors coming from the geographical area comprised between Libya and India. This area includes both nations that are already very dynamic, such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the Emirates, and countries with great potential like Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Sudan. Having important references in the area surely constitutes an excellent starting point; in other words, it is a great competitive advantage. Furthermore, we reckon that our brand, through our publications, product lists, catalogues, USB pen-drives, and gadgets reached about 500 visitors. According to an initial assessment, there are good chances to recover our investment. Now that spotlights are off, we will have to carry out effective commercial and marketing actions to guarantee the full success of the initiative.

Subject: SUCCESS IN THE PRESTIGIOUS CERTIFICATION OF ALL ECISGROUP SpA PREMISES according to ISO 9001:2008 standard
Date:

Description:
20/12/2010

On 02nd and 03rd September 2010, at the Milan and Muggiò premises of Ecisgroup SpA, the recertification visit by the DNV Italy Certifying authority was held. The purpose of the inspection visit was to assess the overall effectiveness of the system and continuous quality management within the past certification period, included also the review activity of documentation (procedures, work instructions and forms) and its conformity to the updates in the 2008 edition of ISO 9001 regulations. The audit covered all Company business units (Sales and Marketing, Engineering Construction and Production, Supply Chain and Finance): in each of these business units inspectors have checked in detail the workflow, the system procedures and processes application, the record of activities and decisions taken, documents’ filing. All this through the traditional audit means that are interview of involved staff and hard and soft documentation examination used during the normal course of business. The final outcome of the inspection was very positive and the Company has obtained the conformity of all its business units. This result, however, was only the first of the targets that the Company will focus on in Quality area. The second was more or less "close" to that excellence in Quality which Management considers the fundamental and essential characteristic in establishing a successful relationship with the client and creating a product / service meeting all its needs. The final extension audit report prepared by the DNV inspectors placed Ecisgroup SpA very close to excellence and constitutes an undoubtedly and absolutely prestigious result: besides containing among the "emerging findings" (final summary report) just an observation and no non-conformity, neither major nor minor, it also presents a positive comment - technically known as "note worthy aspect" of the organization – relative to the "Completion of the analysis and the human resources evaluation in the organization for higher efficiency. A complete success which confirms the goodness of the strategic and organizational decisions taken by Ecisgroup SpA that constitutes a stepping stone for further increases in performance and skills across the whole organization.
